Privacy Policy
At meetingreminder, we value the privacy and security of our users’ personal information. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our website and services. By using our services, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect different types of personal information, which may include:
- Personal Identification Information: Name, email address, phone number, and other relevant contact details.
- Payment Information: Handled securely by third-party processors.
- Calendar Information: Data related to the Google Calendar events you sync with our platform to send reminders to your clients.
- Usage Data: Information about your interactions with our website, including IP address, browser type, and usage statistics collected via cookies or similar technologies.
2. Google API Services User Data Policy Compliance & Limited Use Disclosure
meetingreminder’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Specifically, our use and transfer of Google user data are governed by the following rules:
- Strictly Limited Purpose: We access, use, and process your Google Calendar data (such as event details, attendee names, email addresses, and phone numbers) solely to provide and improve the user-facing functionality of meetingreminder (namely, syncing your calendar events and sending automated WhatsApp notifications/reminders to your clients).
- No Marketing or Promotional Use: We do not use Google user data for advertising, marketing, profiling, or sending promotional communications.
- No Selling or Sharing: We do not sell, rent, or transfer your Google user data to third parties, advertising networks, or data brokers. Any sharing with third-party service providers (such as the WhatsApp Cloud API) is done strictly as necessary to execute the service (e.g., sending the reminders you configure) and improve user-facing features.
- No AI/ML Training: We do not use your Google user data to train, retrain, or improve artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
- Read & Write Access Details:
- Read-Only Access: To display your calendars so you can choose which one to sync, and to fetch details of scheduled events (attendee names, email addresses, and phone numbers) to coordinate automated WhatsApp notifications.
- Write & Edit Access: To create new event entries when clients book meetings, and to update event parameters (such as scheduling times and title status prefixes) when an event is confirmed, rescheduled, or cancelled.
- Event Deletion & Modification: By default, our application does not delete events from your Google Calendar; cancellations are visually marked on the event title using a cross emoji (❌) without deleting the original event block. However, if you explicitly enable the calendar event deletion option in your account settings, our application will delete the cancelled event from your calendar on your behalf.
3. How We Collect Information
- Direct Collection: Information provided by users when creating an account, syncing Google Calendar, submitting forms, or contacting support.
- Automated Collection: We use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to collect usage data automatically as you interact with our site.
4. How We Use Your Information
The information we collect is used for the following purposes:
- Providing Services: To sync calendar events, process transactions, manage automated reminders, and deliver the features you request.
- Communication: To send important notifications, updates, and promotional emails regarding our services (you can opt-out of promotional messages at any time). Note: We never use any data obtained from Google APIs for promotional communications, marketing, or advertising.
- Improvement: To improve the functionality of our website and enhance the user experience.
- Compliance: To comply with legal requirements and prevent fraud.
Note on Google User Data: Notwithstanding any other provision in this Privacy Policy, our use and transfer of Google user data is strictly limited to providing and improving the features of meetingreminder, in full compliance with the Google API Services User Data Policy.
5. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. We only share information with:
- Service Providers: Third-party vendors (such as payment processors and messaging APIs like the WhatsApp Cloud API) that help us provide services to you. These providers are bound by strict confidentiality agreements and are permitted to use your data only to perform services on our behalf.
- Legal Requirements: If required by law, we may disclose your information to comply with legal obligations or protect our rights.
Note on Google User Data: We do not share Google user data with any third parties except as necessary to provide or improve the features of our application (such as sending notifications via our messaging provider). We never share Google user data with advertising networks, data brokers, or for any marketing purposes.
6. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide services, fulfill legal obligations, and resolve disputes. You can request deletion of your account and personal information by contacting us.
7. Your Rights and Choices
- Access & Update: You have the right to access, update, or correct your personal information.
- Deletion: You can request the deletion of your personal data, subject to any applicable legal or contractual obligations.

8. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal data, including encryption, secure integrations with third-party APIs, and restricted access to your data.
9. Children’s Privacy
meetingreminder does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from individuals under 18 years old. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
